Also known as the Wedding Flower, most visitors have not heard of it.

I had never seen Francoa sonchifolia before coming to Apple Court Garden. We have a large clump of it just outside the shop in the nursery area. People would always ask what it was – in June of course as that is when it flowers. Before it does so it is a rather unassuming green clump. You can find both pink shades and lilac and a “giant” version too. It comes from Chile.
