Wall mounted systems are great and we have a couple at home, if like Apple Court you have more than one tap, I highly recommend a trolley.  We bought a couple and they are very versatile – all the benefits of a wall mounted unit, but can easily be rolled up and moved to another tap.

Not one to scrimp on as it’s going to be exposed to the elements

Most importantly try and spend a little bit more on kink free hose – we have one that isn’t kink free and I really wish we’d never bought the cheap stuff as we are stuck with it as doesn’t seem right to replace it, but it’s such a pain to use once you are used to the kink free stuff!  We have these 2 and they are both great.

And one of these Lance sprays enables you to apply the water exactly where it’s needed (avoiding foliage or disrupting too much soil) WITHOUT having to bend and damage your back (let’s face it, we all need to take every opportunity to reduce impact on back from gardening

NOTE without mentioning any names, I don’t recommend shrinking hoses – we have tried them – and have had lots of issues and generally a pain to use – I don’t really see the benefit.
